Now, let’s move on to today’s five plays. As usual, we’ll be taking the under on all of them. Let’s jump right in!

Play 1: Bo Bichette Under 7.5 Fantasy Points

Our first play features Bo Bichette from the Toronto Blue Jays, facing the formidable Houston Astros at home. While the Blue Jays have a decent implied run total of four, they are up against the talented pitcher Framber Valdez. Based on my projections, Bichette is expected to score 7.3 fantasy points, just shy of the line set at 7.5. I believe he will fall short of this mark around 62% of the time. Despite benefiting from the righty-lefty split, the tough matchup makes it challenging for Bichette to exceed expectations. So, let’s go with the under for Bichette.

Play 2: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Under 7 Fantasy Points

In our second Blue Jays play, we focus on Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who also faces Valdez in a righty-lefty matchup. Guerrero is undoubtedly a fantastic hitter, but today’s line is set at seven, and my projections place him at 7.3 fantasy points. This suggests that Guerrero will fall below the line approximately 60% of the time. We’re placing our bet on Valdez’s pitching prowess and going with the under for Guerrero as well.

Play 3: Javier Báez Under 5.5 Fantasy Points

Moving on to our number one play of the day, we have Javier Báez of the Chicago Cubs going against the Philadelphia Phillies and their ace pitcher, Zack Wheeler. Báez, known for his power, projects with a 304 wOBA via Steamer. The line for Báez is set at five and a half, precisely where my projections align. Around 64% of the time, Báez is expected to fall short of this line. With Wheeler’s talent and Báez’s mediocre performance lately, it’s a safe bet to take the under.

Play 4: Francisco Lindor Under 6 Fantasy Points

As a lapsed Braves fan, it brings me great satisfaction to pick against the New York Mets’ Francisco Lindor. The Mets are facing the Braves in Atlanta, and they will be up against the dominant pitcher, Spencer Strider. Strider has been exceptional, striking out batters left and right, with a projected 2.8 FIP via Steamer. The Mets’ offense is not looking promising with a projected run total of 3.7, and Lindor finds himself as the lowest projected player on today’s slate. Although Lindor is a good hitter, the line is set at six, and my projections place him at 6.2 fantasy points. I believe Lindor will fall below this line about 62% of the time. Let’s go with the under for Lindor and hope to cash in!

Play 5: Alex Bregman Under 7 Fantasy Points

In our final play, we have Alex Bregman from the Houston Astros, who is facing off against the Toronto Blue Jays and their formidable pitcher, José Berríos. Berríos is an excellent pitcher, and my projections place him with a slightly above-average 4.1 FIP. With a run implied total of 4.2 for the Astros, Bregman’s line is set at seven, while I project him at 7.2 fantasy points. This suggests that Bregman will fall below the line approximately 60% of the time. Although Bregman is a fantastic hitter, the tough matchup and the uncertainties make it a cautious play. We’ll take the under on Bregman and hope for the best.

And there you have it, folks! Our five picks for today are:

  1. Bo Bichette – Under 7.5 Fantasy Points
  2. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. – Under 7 Fantasy Points
  3. Javier Báez – Under 5.5 Fantasy Points
  4. Francisco Lindor – Under 6 Fantasy Points
  5. Alex Bregman – Under 7 Fantasy Points

Remember, these are all unders, and our success depends on these players not exceeding their respective lines. Let’s hope for a 5-0 day and some extra cash in our accounts!
