Value Plays
Josh Hart (SF/PF β NYK)
- DraftKings Price: $5,500
- FanDuel Price: $6,000
Hart will be in this section until he’s $7K on both sites. The stat-stuffing forward was held to 25-30 minutes a game off the bench, but he’s locked into 35-40 minutes as a starter since Randle is out. That had him flirting with a triple-double on Monday, and he will be doing that regularly in this expanded role. He averaged over 30 DK points per game when he played over 30 minutes last year! We don’t mind the matchup either, with Utah ranked 22nd in defensive efficiency and 23rd in points allowed. Hart moved into the starting lineup with Randle and Anunoby out Monday. He logged a whopping 39 minutes, producing eight points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists. He is an excellent rebounder for his size, and the Knicks could keep him in the starting lineup until Randle returns. With a clear path to around 30 minutes a night moving forward, he has the potential to provide significant value.
Dennis Schroder (PG β TOR)
- DraftKings Price: $5,600
- FanDuel Price: $6,600
While Barnes is the primary point guard in the absence of IQ, Schroder is the starting point guard. This veteran averaged over 30 DK points per game in that role earlier in the season and should resume his 35-minute role as the primary ball-handler. That makes him an immense value in this $6K price range, and we’re not scared of a matchup with Chicago.

DβAngelo Russell (PG/SG β LAL)
- DraftKings Price: $7,100
- FanDuel Price: $7,800
It’s funny how a benching can change a player’s season. Russell was relegated to the bench four weeks ago, but he’s been unstoppable since his reinsertion into the starting lineup. D-Lo has scored at least 30 DraftKings points in 10 consecutive outings, posting a 42-point average in that span. It looks even better since LA is playing a B2B and could rest some starters here. All of that makes him an incredible option against Atlanta, allowing the second-most points in the NBA.
More Value Plays
- Isaiah Hartenstein (C β NYK)
- DraftKings Price: $6,400
- FanDuel Price: $7,500
Hartenstein has been horrid the last two games, but we’re not worried about that. The big man took over the starting center job in the absence of Mitchell Robinson and could do even more now that Randle is out as well. Before those two stinkers, Hartenstein had at least 33 DK points in nine of his previous 10 games, posting a 41-point average in that span. We already talked about how bad Utah’s defense has been, and Hartenstein will feast as long as he plays the 30 minutes we’ve become accustomed to.
- Alex Caruso (PG/SG β CHI)
- DraftKings Price: $5,700
- FanDuel Price: $6,200
Caruso has been a fantastic fill-in for Zach LaVine. The elite defender is averaging nearly 30 DraftKings points per game as a starter this year and is playing over 30 minutes a night in this newfound role. He’s also scored at least 26 fantasy points in six of his last seven outings and should never be this cheap if he’s locked into a role like this. Facing Toronto makes him more enticing, with AC scoring 28 and 40 DK points in two matchups this year.
Bonus Plays
- Donte DiVincenzo, NY vs. UTA: Since the Knicks traded away Immanuel Quickley, DiVincenzo has taken on an expanded role. Over his last 16 games, he has averaged 15.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.2 steals. With Randle and OG Anunoby (elbow) out Monday, he exploded for 43.7 Yahoo points. Even if Anunoby returns for this game, DiVincenzo could still be well worth his salary.
- Christian Wood, LAL at ATL: This one all depends on the status of Davis. He has been battling multiple injuries of late and just played in Houston on Monday. He’s being considered a game-time decision, but it would make sense if the Lakers decide to give him the night off. If he sits, Wood should see added playing time against a Hawks team that has played at the fifth-fastest pace and has the fourth-worst defensive rating in the league. At the minimum salary, he would be a viable tournament option.
